In the summer of 1993, 4,000 volunteers came from one hundred countries to Washington DC, the murder capital of the world. Their mission was to collectively meditate for long periods of time throughout the day. Forty eight previous studies done on a smaller scale predicted that this experiment would create a 25% drop in crime. The chief of police in Washington DC said on TV that it would take two feet of snow to reduce crime by that much. However, the results were exactly as predicted – a 25% drop in crime that summer.
How was this manifested? Because on the deepest, subnuclear level of our biology we’re literally one. Physics call it “entanglement.” And, within this unified domain of existence, our thoughts have a measurable frequency, they are literally radio waves entering the universe and effecting the environment. The best-selling book, “The Secret” which delineated “The Law of Attraction” to most of the world for the first time, describes it as “thoughts create things.”
The news of the political turmoil in Libya, is deeply disturbing to us all. I would like to do what I can, on a personal level, and invite you too, to choose a way to help implement peace in places like Libya. I believe, as Martin Luther King and Gandhi believed, that powerful, positive change can be brought about in the world without lifting a gun.
In Washington DC in that summer of ’93, the expected outcome of the “prayer for non-violence” was a 25% decrease. I fully believe that this expectation was precisely why the outcome was so exact. The power of prayer (or moving energy for the sciency-minded) has infinite potential. I have created this “Peace Prayer Society” for the purpose of harnessing this exciting new knowledge that the merging of science and spirituality have brought to our generation – the knowledge of the omnipotent power of the mind. This society is open to the polytheistic, the monotheistic, the atheistic, the Taoistic, and EVERYONE!
I invite us all to join together and consciously circulate life energy in the world through joining our prayers and meditations for areas of the world in turmoil. I would first like to encourage you to focus on sending “love energy” to Gadhafi, the leader of Libya. Let us remember that the harmful-doings of our brothers and sisters stem from ignorance and lack of love in one’s life. Everyone sees the world through their own paradigm of “right and wrong,” and misunderstandings are the root of all the human drama. Therefore, I invite you to send out a prayer that peace ascend over the country of Libya, and that Gadhafi receive a “love-awakening.”
If we get people around the world to send a peaceful, prayerful intention to Libya throughout their day, then imagine what we can do with this colossal, largely untapped energetic force that is at the disposal of us all.
Let’s be the generation that moves mountains with our minds! Monks, priests and prophets have known that it’s possible for thousands of years. Quantum physicists have known that it’s possible for a few decades.
